Brokers often offer two account types that matter for robot trading: Cent and Standard. They can run the same strategy, but the size of every trade, and of every loss, is very different.

What a Cent account is

A Cent account shows your balance in US cents (USC). A $300 deposit appears as 30,000 USC. Lots on a Cent account are usually scaled down, so the same lot number controls far less gold than on a Standard account. That makes it a smaller-stakes way to run a robot with real money.

What a Standard account is

A Standard account shows your balance in US dollars, and lot sizes follow the broker’s standard contract. For XAUUSD, one standard lot is commonly 100 troy ounces, so a $1 move in gold changes the value of one lot by about $100. Contract sizes differ by broker and entity, so always confirm the specification.

The Vortex Circle minimums

  • Cent: minimum deposit of $300 to join and use GoldVortex.
  • Standard: minimum deposit of $10,000.
  • Either way, the money stays in your own broker account. It is trading capital, not a payment for the robot or VPS.

How to choose

  • Start with Cent if you are still learning how the robot behaves with real execution.
  • Consider Standard only with capital you can afford to see fall sharply.
  • Do not compare lot numbers across account types without checking contract size.
  • Check which broker entity will hold your account and what protections apply in your region.
